We are looking for a professional Shop (Boutique) Manager (m/f) with great experience in managing retail outlets either on land or at sea for a well known 4**** European Cruise Line with English-speaking passengers and great itineraries throughout the world.
The ideal candidate must have 3-4 years of retail management background, and previous ship-experience on a seagoing vessel and the primary responsibility of the Shop Manager is to oversee and manage all shops and boutiques operations on board. Within these responsibilities you should be able to create and execute plans to drive sales and maintain high quality retail standards. Ensuring exceptional passenger experience aboard the cruise ship is always the main focus. The Shop Manager leads a team of 5-15 people and achieves the best results by motivating and coaching the staff. To maximize revenue opportunities you will be expected to come up with new ideas to re-organize merchandising displays and maintain change of items/location every other day.
When new crew members come on board the Shop Manager makes sure they receive adequate training and coaching on the company Retail standards and procedures. You are responsible for inventory as well, with an emphasis on loss prevention. After every sales day you will report sales data as well as specific information requested by the corporate office. Besides working for a fast growing company, this job opportunity gives you the chance to travel to different places in the world.
