In order to successfully deal with your application we will need the following documents from you:
- Cover letter
- Detailed CV in English (table form)
- Copies of your certificates/job references
1. Cover letter
This concise and clearly structured letter should indicate how we may assist you, e. g. which position you are interested in and when you would be available.
2. Detailed CV in English (table form)
In addition to your personal details the CV should list the various stations of your education and professional experience in a chronological order (please state day/month/year). Required information are the position you held, details about your employer (e. g. size of the hotel, number of stars etc.) as well as a description of your responsibilities in note form. Furthermore you should describe your skills, proficiency and qualifications in particular detail considering that the CV is your “business card” for future employers.
3. Copies of your certificates
Your documents should preferably contain job references from your previous employers (max. 5). Please also include diplomas (university, apprenticeship or similar) and certificates (e. g. language course, further education, STCW-certificate etc.).
The photo should preferably be taken by a professional photographer and not by a self-service machine. If you feel poorly portrayed: Invest in new pictures. You should not underestimate the importance of the first impression people get from you. Due to the fact that in some cases we will not be able to meet you personally, please also send a full body photo.
Please indicate 2 (previous) employers (contact person, telephone number, e-mail address) who we may contact in order to enquire about you. Preferably this would be your current superior and/or the superior of your last 2 jobs.
Please notice that we are not able to send back your application if you send it in paper form by postal service. Exception:If you also send with your application a addressed, postpaid envelope. Thank you for your appreciation.
